Hotel Four Points by Sheraton put an end to wastage of energy consumption of HVAC by saving 10% – 15% through Aunoa Smart control’s wireless utility management solutions.
Challenges
A lack of preventive maintenance led to building inefficiencies, skyrocketing utility bills and comfort concerns. With energy and operating costs consuming more of its available funds, the Hotel sought a cost-effective way to make necessary improvements and reverse skyrocketing utility bills.
Solution
A detailed analysis was carried out and the below solutions had been provided
- Dynamic Controlling of Air handling units with multiple scheduling and temperature setpoints based on the requirement.
- Scheduling of ventilation fans.
This achieved 10% to 15% savings on HVAC. Along with Optimization of Manpower on the operations front and real-time monitoring of Water Systems and Cold Rooms.
Project
Aunoa Wireless Utility Management was started in the month of December 2019 and completed in the span of just two months by end of January 2020, the project consisted of Monitoring and Control of various low-side HVAC equipment and monitoring of high-side HVAC equipment and various other utilities.

This HVAC consumption consisted of electrical energy consumed by:
- Chiller System: Was operated on temperature requirement basis by manually changing the Set point of Chilled Water
- Air Handling Unit: Turned ON and OFF manually, without temperature based
- Treated Fresh Air Units: Turned ON and OFF manually, without temperature based
- Room Fan-Coil Units: These units are installed in the room and the total control of these units is with Guests staying in the
- Ventilation Fan: Turned ON and OFF
Conditions After Aunoa Utility Management System
After Successful Commissioning of Aunoa Utility Management System the HVAC consumption for February 2020 was brought down to

Generating a saving of 12785 kWh units which is 12% reduction in Electrical Consumption than previous year.
This Savings was achieved by
- Air Handling Unit and Treated Fresh Air Units: Turned ON and OFF by auto scheduling and with temperature based dynamic set-point
Ventilation Fan: Turned ON and OFF by auto scheduling.
